“A Starry Night”

Prom is just around the corner. This year’s prom theme is a “Starry Night” and is being held at Marina Del Rey on a yacht called the Entertainer. The cost of a ticket is 65 dollars, but this price doesn’t include the fundraised money that the seniors raised.

Boys Basketball: Road To League Champions

Boys basketball season is in full swing now and each team is hungry to win a league championship. Each team did successful during their pre-season. Before league started, the varsity team had a record of 8 wins and 7 losses, the JV team had a record of 5 wins and 5 losses, and the Frosh Soph team had a record had 1 win and 0 losses, according to maxpreps.com.

The Evolution of Valiant Food

Over the last four years, the school has experienced many different food choices that were served to students during lunch and dinner.

During the 2008-2009 school year, during lunch, a food truck would always park itself outside the school gate on Community street right before the school bell rang–releasing the students to lunch. Back when lunch was around 45 minutes, the line for the “Roach Coach” would stretch across the basketball courts.

Homecoming started off with the valiants producing entrance skits based on their continent. The Juniors were up first showing their Europe themed skit, which involved the students to go through different countries of Europe. Homecoming Activity: Tug Of War

Following the entrance skit, all four classes duked it out on the court trying their hardest to pull one very long rope with all their strength. Each class left their sweat, energy, and pride in their class on that floor, which was amazing to see each classes true determination to make their class proud.
