Moving on to College…

Although the seniors are ready to graduate in about a week, some are sad and glad to be moving on to their next chapter in life. Many students are going to go to amazing 4-year universities, such as UC IRVINE, UCLA, USC and even Columbia University. The idea of going to college makes some students

The Good Life

My 4 years here at St. Genevieve High School were awesome! Honestly, I wouldn’t have wanted to go to any other high school because this school is truly different. From the fun I had in athletics, the events we have at school, to the success I had in academics, all of the memories here were great. Not only that but my senior class is actually really close and it will be a truly bitter sweet moment to graduate.

Pensive Recollections

So it has come to this. I am graduating. There is not much else to say about it. Some in my class have taken to be raucous and revel in the idea that their high school lives are over, some plainly do not care. I do not know where I fit in. All I can say is

Time Flies

Looking back from my freshman year, I believe that I have changed because I took up a lot of opportunities that I never had before. Being welcomed as a freshman was kind of nerve wrecking because it is when you’re in a new school with new people that you probably never met.

High School in a Thousand Words.

A huge tip is to enjoys the little things in life. This year, I hung out with my friends almost every Friday after school. Sometimes we play basketball at chase, go watch the basketball games at school, or simply enjoy the afternoon by doing nothing. It may seem as a waste of time but the way I see it, they are memories that I will hold. Just having the company of one another, knowing that we are not going to see each other on a daily basis anymore, makes the present that much more greater

Ask Vee: “I’m not getting any college acceptance letters…”

The first thing you need to know is that you aren’t the only one applying for these colleges. The process of being accepted takes a very long time and, most of the time, you won’t get your letter for months after you applied. I know it’s hard to be anxiously waiting to see your standing with the schools of your choice, but patience is key when it comes to these letters.

How to Beat Senioritis

Senioritis: A dreadful disease that strikes high school seniors commonly and frequently in the second semester. Symptoms usually include: extreme laziness, a lack of studying, repeated absences, tardies, and a generally dismissive attitude. The only known cure is a phenomenon known as Graduation.

As a senior, you experience this condition because your mindset is only about the future and you feel as if you don’t have to worry about the present.. Everyone is capable of going through this at some point or another during their senior year, but you have to realize that it isn’t over yet and challenge yourself to continue doing your best in school and end it with a BANG!
