Boys Basketball: Road To League Champions

Boys basketball season is in full swing now and each team is hungry to win a league championship. Each team did successful during their pre-season. Before league started, the varsity team had a record of 8 wins and 7 losses, the JV team had a record of 5 wins and 5 losses, and the Frosh Soph team had a record had 1 win and 0 losses, according to maxpreps.com.

The Evolution of Valiant Food

Over the last four years, the school has experienced many different food choices that were served to students during lunch and dinner.

During the 2008-2009 school year, during lunch, a food truck would always park itself outside the school gate on Community street right before the school bell rang–releasing the students to lunch. Back when lunch was around 45 minutes, the line for the “Roach Coach” would stretch across the basketball courts.

Homecoming: Junior Float

This year, the Juniors fashioned the colors purple, grey, and black, which is accompanied with their continent, Europe, as major influences in the creation of their float.

Homecoming Activity: Tug Of War

Following the entrance skit, all four classes duked it out on the court trying their hardest to pull one very long rope with all their strength. Each class left their sweat, energy, and pride in their class on that floor, which was amazing to see each classes true determination to make their class proud.

Dear Vee, My PSAT Scores Were Horrible

As discouraging as it may be to have seen such low scores, there is still hope. You are a junior and still have time to improve your scores before you take the SAT. At this time there are a lot of SAT prep courses going on in the area. First and foremost, this spring in the high school classes to prepare you for this test will be taking place.

Valiants Make an Entrance

Homecoming started off with the class opening skits. Classes are to make an entrance showing their Disney characters and the fact that we are in homecoming. Each skit was only allowed to be a certain amount of minutes and in that short time student were to show the judge what they had come up with.
