My 4 years here at St. Genevieve High School were awesome! Honestly, I wouldn’t have wanted to go to any other high school because this school is truly different. From the fun I had in athletics, the events we have at school, to the success I had in academics, all of the memories here were great. Not only that but my senior class is actually really close and it will be a truly bitter sweet moment to graduate.

Survival Guide: SGHS

Throughout the years, you get to learn tips and tricks that will make your life easier and, in the end, more fun. By having some sort of knowledge going throughout the years, you will find that school, especially in SGHS, is really easy. Here is some guidelines that will help you cope with the various changes in your life and will hopefully make the transitions easier.

Boys Basketball: Road To League Champions

Boys basketball season is in full swing now and each team is hungry to win a league championship. Each team did successful during their pre-season. Before league started, the varsity team had a record of 8 wins and 7 losses, the JV team had a record of 5 wins and 5 losses, and the Frosh Soph team had a record had 1 win and 0 losses, according to maxpreps.com.

The Evolution of Valiant Food

Over the last four years, the school has experienced many different food choices that were served to students during lunch and dinner.

During the 2008-2009 school year, during lunch, a food truck would always park itself outside the school gate on Community street right before the school bell rang–releasing the students to lunch. Back when lunch was around 45 minutes, the line for the “Roach Coach” would stretch across the basketball courts.

The Freshman Float

The Freshman class really pulled through with their impressive float. It really seemed that they really had it planned and were really dedicated in making a float worth showing off. Homecoming Activity: Tug Of War

Following the entrance skit, all four classes duked it out on the court trying their hardest to pull one very long rope with all their strength. Each class left their sweat, energy, and pride in their class on that floor, which was amazing to see each classes true determination to make their class proud.

Meeting everyday for the first week of school consisted not only preparing for the Hollywood Bowl trip, but to also bond with each other in order to create a comfortable environment, a family.
