President Donald Trump accompanied by wife Melania Trump, set foot into The White House to give his inauguration speech to the nation Friday morning, January 20.

The Trumps were greeted by former President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama as they welcomed Donald and Melania into the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. Alongside Trump, his children family and friends attended this memorable day.

The ceremony was watched by at least 30.6 million all over the Internet and television making it one of  the most watched inaugurations tying close to Obama’s and Reagan’s. An estimate of 250,000 attended the inauguration along with Trumps running mate Hillary Clinton, her husband Bill Clinton and former 43rd president George W. Bush.

Clinton sent out a tweet as she arrived to the ceremony regarding her reason for attendance.

“I’m here today to honor our democracy & its enduring values. I will never stop believing in our country & its future. #Inauguration,” said Clinton.

Trump started off the ceremony by thanking Hillary, Michelle, and former presidents Carter and Bush as well as  remembering the Obama’s hard work over the past years.

“Every four years, we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power, and we are grateful to President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition. They have been magnificent,” said Trump.image2

Reminiscing about how things have been within the government, economy and overall nation, Trump spoke of his high hopes for the changes he’ll make as the United States 45th president. Along with his promises and hopes, Trump’s secretary, Sean Spicer, declared his inauguration a national day of  patriotic devotion on a post he put onto Twitter.

Donald Trump continues to show his gratitude for the United States as President as he takes foot into office and works on accomplishing his plan to “make America great again.”
