Valentine’s Day Dinner Recipes

Do you ever feel like you’re going to fall short of an impressive Valentines Day?  Valentine’s Day is all about impressing your loved one and making them actually feel cherished. With money on your mind, it may be hard to pull through. But here are some easy and inexpensive recipes to show you care!

This article will show you how to make:

  • Shirley Temples
  • A Heart Shaped Pizza

For the Shirley Temple you will need the following:

  • 7-UP
  • Grenadine Syrup
  • Maraschino Cherries
  • A shot glass
  • A straw
  • Decorative drink umbrella(optional but highly suggested)


  1. Fill the 8 oz  cup with ice.                   2. Pour 1 oz of Grenadine or Maraschino cherry juice into the cup(1 oz is approximately ⅔ of a shot glass).

3. Fill the rest of the glass with 7-up.        4/5. Stir the drink with a straw & garnish with maraschino cherries.

7. Add a decorative umbrella (once again this is optional but highly suggested).

Heart Shaped Pizza:

You will need: an oven, a big wooden cutting board, a knife, a rolling pin, oven mittens, a napkin, a baking pan big enough for the pizza, flour, oil, and your choice of: pizza dough, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce (you can of course pick different toppings to make it special).

1. Preheat the oven at 350 degrees.                                                     2.  Open all of the packages.

3. Put Flour onto the cutting board so that the dough doesn’t get stuck.(Also put flour on the rolling pin).

4. Roll dough into a ball.                                                                                                               5. Use the rolling pin to shape the dough into a heart.

6. Spread Pizza sauce all over the dough, be careful not to go off the edges.                  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.

8. Cut the pepperoni into heart shapes.                                                                          9. Then place the pepperoni onto the pizza.

10. Grab your pan and place oil on it, rub it all over the pan with a napkin. Next you have to put enough flower to cover the entire pan and then shake it around for full coverage.

11. Place the pizza on the pan and with your oven mittens on. Place the pizza in the oven until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden.
