Homecoming Entrance Skit

The first Homecoming activity to start the amazing week was none other than the Entrance skits performed by each class in the gymnasium. To kick off the performances, the  Junior class gave the crowd a tour of Europe with their elegant props and great charisma from start to finish. Fr. John Bakas

Immigrating with his family from Greece in 1958, Fr. Bakas and his family settled in New Mexico and worked in the restaurant business.

He later became a priest and is currently located at the Saint Sophia Cathedral and Greek Orthodox Community of Los Angeles.

At first having a Father come speak to the students was somewhat awkward.

Homecoming Class Winners

The results are in for the 2011 homecoming class winners. Drum roll please… And in 4th place, comes the Freshmen Class. And in 3rd place, the Sophomore Class. Coming in 2nd place, the Junior Class. Update on the Lady Valiant’s 2011-2012 Volleyball Season

The Lady Valiant’s volleyball team have been doing a great job so far. Junior Varsity has an undefeated streak of 27 wins and the varsity has a league record of 3 wins and 3 losses.

Sophomore Homecoming Float

This year, the Sophomores sported a very dashing yellow and orange themed paint to their float accompanied by a few of Africa’s greatest and well known symbols such as a safari style theme, a tribute to their alliteration Safari Sophomores, combined with a few Egyptian elements. Homecoming!…Not Just Yet

What is Homecoming?

Homecoming at our school is a bit different than other schools. At other schools they mostly only have a dance that is normally held at the end of the week as well as the football game.
Homecoming is meant to bring the school closer together in unity. As the school comes together, energy for the Homecoming football game is being stored. This year’s Homecoming fame will be on November 5th at home field. The Homecoming dance is held on Sunday at the end of homecoming week.
