Valiants Win Homecoming Game and Clinch Playoff Spot

The Valiants have gone 7-2, their best record in over fifteen years, and with that they have clinched a playoff spot in the Northeast Division. With two weeks, left in the regular season it’s hard to determine who will capture the league title. St. Genevieve, Bellarmine-Jefferson, and St. Anthony are the top three contenders in the league. St. Genevieve (6-2 overall, 2-0 league) are tied with last years defending Sante-Fe league champs, Bell-Jeff (6-2 overall, 2-0 league). St. Genevieve Wins Nail-Biter Against St. Monica

The Valiants traveled to Playa Del Rey on Saturday, to play the Mariners of St. Monica. Due to the recent departure of Daniel Murphy, the Mariners are a new addition to the Sante Fe League.  The Valiants luckily pulled away with a victory, as they had troubles on offense and their defense struggled in the second half.

Intense Volleyball Action

Day one of homecoming was finished with all classes competing in volleyball. In the first round, the freshman played against the sophomores, and the juniors faced off against the seniors. Queen, King… Who’s it going to be?

Homecoming 2008 has officially started with the search for the year’s homecoming Queen and King. These students up for one of the most coveted titles at the school and a chance to be part of the St. Genevieve legacy. The nominees have been chosen and this court is one of the best ever seen. The
